PARIS, Feb 12: Saudi Arabia has ordered two military Airbus refuelling aircraft worth 350-400 million euros ($455-520 million), the French defence ministry said on Monday.
The ministry said that the contract had been signed here on Monday by Saudi Arabian defence Minister Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz and French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie.
The aircraft, known as the A330-MRTT, can be used both as cargo transport and refuelling aircraft. They are built by Airbus at Toulouse in southern France and are then fitted out with military equipment by the CASA company in Spain, the ministry said.—AFP
