IFC training for directors

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 12: The International Finance Corporation (IFC), in partnership with Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG), has launched the board development series, a programme to train board directors and top management on best practices in corporate governance.

According to a press release, the training programme is part of IFC’s corporate governance project in Pakistan, which is implemented by IFC’s advisory services facility, the Private Enterprise Partnership for the Middle East and North Africa.

The training will be organised in four sessions over a 12-month period. Participants who complete all sessions will become certified directors.

The first training session was conducted by international speakers with experience in corporate governance and was attended by about 30 CEOs, company and independent directors, and senior executives.
