KARACHI, Feb 9: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were accommodated berths at QICT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 70pc as eight ships, CGM Tulip, Jabel Ali, Annie Sierra, Ibn-Yonus, Multan, Ocala, Difko Suzanne and Christen, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 30,242 tons comprising 15,668 tons of import and 14,574 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Chemroad, Ocala, CMA CGM Tulip and Jebel Ali left the port while Ibn-Younus was due to depart.c
