KARACHI: Five held for faking governor’s letters

KARACHI, Feb 6: Five persons, including employees of the Sindh Secretariat and police, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal correspondence using the letterhead of Governor’s House in pursuit of their personal interests, involving blackmailing.

These persons in a matter involving payment of money assaulted a citizen and put pressure through using a letterhead of the Governor’s House, an official statement said here on Tuesday.

The governor directed the officials concerned to Investigate the matter and to take legal action against the persons involved.

Dr Ishratul Ibad appreciated the efforts of the deputy secretary made to unearth this activity.

In case of sensing any suspicion of such activities, people and officials have been advised to inform about the same to the Principal Secretary, the Military Secretary, the Press Secretary of the Governor ‘s House or report it at the Governor's website: www.governorsindh.gov.pk.
