KARACHI, Feb 1: Three ships carrying coal and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Harmony, Conti Esperance and Hyundai Advance to unload and load containers and Swat to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed were led by APL Jabel Ali, Harmony, Johar, Xiang Cheng, Rising Om, Gulf Ahmadi and Pretty Lady, while Hyundai Advance, Conti Esperance, Hong Tai, Kota Mesra, Swat and Iran Shahryar are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.115m tons comprising 16,541 tons of export cargo including 1,377 tons of rice and 97,884 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Splandour, to load furnace, Y.M.Sun, with containers and Pacific Pioneer, with coal.
