SYDNEY, Jan 20: England captain Michael Vaughan has been ruled out of the next two tri-series One-day Internationals in Australia with a torn hamstring, but he is likely to be back in action before the end of the tournament.

Vaughan, 32, injured himself while fielding in England's three-wicket win over New Zealand in Hobart on Tuesday and scans later revealed he had suffered a grade one tear.

He missed England's four-wicket defeat to Australia in Brisbane on Friday and team officials released a brief statement on Saturday saying he would miss the next two games – against New Zealand on Tuesday then Australia on Friday – but might play against the Kiwis in Perth on Jan 30.—Reuters
