Hyderabad make bright start

KARACHI, Jan 12: An unfinished century partnership between Rizwan Ahmed and Shahid Qambrani guided hosts Hyderabad to 282 for three against Abbottabad on the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League fixture at the Niaz Stadium on Friday.

Rizwan (91 off 193 balls, seven fours) and Shahid (71 off 110 balls, eight fours and two sixes) have so far put on 115 after Hyderabad skipper Faisal Athar won the toss and chose to bat first.

Rizwan was also involved in a third-wicket stand worth 107 with Faisal, who made 47.
