Eight hurt in gas leak fire

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 12: Eight people were injured when a barber’s shop caught fire after a gas leakage in Block 18 here on Friday in the limits of Civil Lines police station. Reports said that the gas leakage from a pipe passing beneath the floor of the shop caused eruption of the fire that resulted in burn injuries to eight people. The injured were identified as Asif Qaisrani, Muhammad Afzal, Riaz Hussain, Fazal Abbas, Muhammad Azhar, Ajmal, Iqbal. They were being treated at the local DHQ Hospital.

It is learnt that repeated complaints were lodged in this regard, but the department concerned did not pay any heed. — Correspondent
