KARACHI, Jan 12: Seven ships carrying containers, coal and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Mol Asante, Eric G. Gibson, Oel Esteem and Orient Independence to unload and load containers and Pantelena to unload chemicals were berthed on Friday.

Six ships, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Star, Mol Asante, Denden, Taipan and Gailan-4 departed on Friday, while Eric G. Gibson, Thor Merchant, Pantelena, Matina, Effy-N are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.116m tons comprising 22,238 tons of export cargo and 93,447 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Torm Ingeborg to load 45,000 tons of naphtha, Shalamar with crude oil, Kuo Chang, Kama Bhun, Soon Fu and Wan Hai-311 with containers and Akili with coal.
