Highway robberies

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 30: Highway robbers in their on-going looting spree struck twice on Saturday. Police said passengers of a Mazda mini-bus, returning home to celebrate Eid, were deprived of cash, ornaments, wrist watches, cell phones and other precious goods.

They said the robbers boarded the bus from Shahdra Morr as passengers. They whipped out their pistols near Mandiali on Lahore Road and searched each passenger. Factory area police have registered the case.

Two armed highway robbers deprived Akhtar Islam of his van near Ferozewala Pind on GT Road.
