2 injured while resisting robbers

LAHORE, Dec 20: Robbers shot at two persons on resistance and struck several times successfully in the city on Wednesday. Two robbers intercepted Tariq in the Batapur area and snatched Rs1,500 in cash and a cell phone from him. They also shot at Tariq on resistance.

Unidentified people snatched a purse from Shakeela in Ghaziabad and injured her with butt of a gun when she put up resistance.

Five robbers entered a paints house in Hanjarwal, held up Razzaq and customers at gunpoint and took away Rs250,000 in cash and four cell phones.

However, the police claimed that two armed men only took away Rs26,000 in cash.

Two armed motorcyclists barged into a shop in Shahdara and escaped with cash and jewellery worth Rs270,000.

Two robbers burst into a mobiles shop in and took away Rs35,000 and eight cell phones.

Robbers took away Rs24,000 and a cell phone from the general store of Shamim in Shahdara.

Some unidentified people broke a windowpane of Col Asad’s car near the Racecourse Park and escaped with his purse and a cell phone.

Three gun-totting car riders came to a PCO near Jamia Mosque Railway Road in Garhi Shahu and escaped with cash and a cell phone. —Reporter
