PCB uncertain about Indian cricket visas

By Our Sports Correspondents

KARACHI, Oct 20: Pakistan cricket fans remain uncertain if they get Indian visas as the BCCI has yet not contacted their counterpart on the issue.

The Indian home ministry announced on Thursday that it had given clearance to grant 1,000 visas to Pakistanis.

“We don't know about such developments. In fact, we have been facing problems getting visas for some of our own guests,” Asad Mustafa, a senior PCB official said.

Pakistan will play New Zealand on Oct 25 before taking on South Africa on Oct 27 at Mohali, Punjab.

Asad said the PCB had submitted around 65 passports to get Indian visas for the tournament but the passports were not returned yet.

“We were informed that the Indian government would not issue special visas this time as it had done earlier when Pakistan toured India last year,” he said.
