KOHAT, Oct 20: A man was killed and 16 students belonging to Parachinar, Kurram Agency, were injured after a van overturned on the Indus Highway near Kohat University on Friday.

Hospital sources said that the driver of the van registered in Sindh, Ali Hussain, died on the spot. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a turn at Bannu bypass on the Indus Highway.

A student, Iftikhar, was taken to Peshawar from the KDA divisional medical complex in a serious condition.

An official of the university said the students charged with using unfair means during B.A. examination had been called to appear before a board on Friday.
