By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Oct 20: Journalists, other newspaper employees, distributors and hawkers called upon newspapers owners on Friday to restore two-day holiday for Eidul Fitr.

A joint action committee of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), All Pakistan Newspapers’ Employees Confederation (Apnec), Akhbar Farosh Federation, Hawkers’ Union, Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists and Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club here on Friday said they would hold a demonstration in front of the Parliament House on Saturday if the All Pakistan Newspapers Society did not agree to two days of holiday for Eid.

A statement issued here on Friday also said that the struggle for restoration of 18 annual holidays for newspapers employees and hawkers would continue.
