Superjumbo sales
PARIS, Oct 20: Airbus will have to sell 50 per cent more A380 superjumbo airliners to cover costs than it had planned, but the co-head of Airbus parent company EADS insisted the aircraft manufacturer would restructure to recover its former glory. At the same time, US rival Boeing was crowing that its long-distance, medium-size Dreamliner, a competitor to another Airbus plane in difficulty, the A350, would be delivered on time and pull ahead in the market.—AFP
