KARACHI, Sept 30: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman lauded services of the 'Reform Support Unit' (RSU) towards introducing reforms in the Sindh education department.

Speaking during a presentation of the RSU held at his office on Saturday, he ordered the officials concerned to perform their duties with sincerity, devotion and courage.

During the presentation, RSU Project Manager Iqbal Durrani informed that the RSU had compiled figures of exact number of existing provincial schools, their staff and students across the Sindh through computerisation while during current academic session 30 million textbooks for Class-1 to X had been disbursed among 4.2 million students free of cost.

It was further informed during the presentation that scholarships to 0.271 million female students had been sent through money orders and during the last two and a half year 0.7 million more female students were enrolled in education institutes.—PPI
