KARACHI: 2 vehicles stolen at Civic Centre: 42 cellphones taken away

KARACHI, Sept 12: At least 24 vehicles and 42 cellphones were taken away from different parts of the city on Tuesday. Two vehicles bearing number plates GL-5387 and AA-2748 were stolen from the head office of the city government at Civic Centre. The two hi-roof vehicles belonged to the officers of the city government. Police said that a single car was snatched at gunpoint and 10 cars were reported stolen on Tuesday.

Similarly, 4 motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint and 7 were reported stolen.

Police sources said that 11 mobile phones were snatched by bandits and 26 were reported stolen while 5 cellphones were reported missing on Tuesday.

The Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of the Capital City Police recovered 18 stolen vehicles from different parts of the metropolis, adds PPI.

The registration numbers of the recovered cars are JE-8136 Toyota Hi-Ex, GA-6232 Suzuki Mehran, KB 4028 Suzuki Pickup, B-2599 Toyota Corolla, T-0840 Suzuki Khyber, ALA-829 Suzuki Khyber, AKU-436 Suzuki Alto and AAG-016 Toyota Corolla.

The registration numbers of the recovered motorcycles are MNJ-2414, KBA-3000, KAO-1061, D-38192 a rickshaw, LHW-9064, RNH-8953, KBL-3791, LAA-1534, KBQ-6156 and KBH-9165.
