KARACHI: Aligarh old-boys elections

KARACHI, Sept 11: Z. A. Nizami was re-elected as president of the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association for fourth three-year term by the general body of the association in the election held here Saturday night.

His panel defeated all the candidates of the rival panel, led by Naunehal Hussain Zaidi, a press release issued on Monday said.

The other office-bearers of the Nizami panel are: Zakir Ali Khan (General Secretary), Adil Usman, Saleem Siddiqui and Brig (r) Qamarus Salam (Vice- Presidents), Syed Visaqul Hasan (Honorary Treasure), Mukhtar Ahmed Naqvi (Joint Secretary), Ali Zafar Khan Afridi (Joint Secretary-Sports), Arif Raza (Joint Secretary-Publicity) and Yusuf Siddiqui (Joint-Secretary Academic).

Earlier, the general body held its meeting which was attended by about 500 members.—PPI
