Port Qasim

KARACHI, Sept 7: A record cargo volume of 0.100 million tons comprising 0.073 million tons of import and 0.027 million tons of export tonnage was handled on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four ships carrying containers, diesel oil and LPG were berthed at QICT, Fotco Terminal and EVT, while another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Berth occupancy rose to 80 per cent as nine ships, Nedlloyd Muscat, Thurngia Express, Aurora, Mar Blue, Cumbria, Bum Ju, Suzanne, Keefan and Navigator Pluto, were busy in loading and offloading containers, cement, seeds, edible oil, diesel oil and LPG.

Sailing was active as Suzanne, Navigator Pluto, Nedlloyd Muscat and Aurora left the port while Thurngia Express and Bum Ju were due to depart.
