Pakistan, Afghanistan leaders pledge to fight Taliban HONG KONG, Sept 6 (AFP) The leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan on Wednesday pledged to work harder to stamp out Taliban activity on both sides of their common border. There should be no "no Taliban activity on our side of the border or across the border in Afghanistan," visiting President Pervez Musharraf told reporters after talks with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai. Musharraf said mutual trust was essential if the deadly insurgency was to be quelled.
