SRINAGAR, Aug 30: Dozens of Kashmiris staged a sit-in protest on Wednesday to mark the International Day of the Disappeared and appealed to authorities to provide information about missing relatives.
“We won’t rest till we know the truth,” said Parveena Ahanger, who led the sit-in at a park in Srinagar.
Ahanger, whose son disappeared in 1990 after his alleged arrest by the army, formed the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons in 1994.—AFP
