KARACHI, Aug 16: Six vessels carrying containers, chemicals and coal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Gulf Bridge, Ever Govern, APL Jabel Ali, Alexa-M, Kama Bhum and Oel Victory to unload and load containers, and Oriental Kerria to offload oil were berthed.

Two ships, Norasia Alps and Latgale departed, while Gulf Bridge, APL Jabel Ali, Ikan Selar, Golden Sky, Ever Govern, Oriental Kerria, Kama Bhum, Hyundai Future and Pearl of Sharjah are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 0.108m tons comprising 8,338 tons of export cargo and 99,812 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Shalamar, with crude oil, Kota Mesra, Calvin P Titus and Iran Kordestan, with containers and Stove Tradition, with coal.
