Bodies of two boys retrieved

By Our Correspondent

SWABI, Aug 12: The bodies of two of the three boys who had drowned in Tarbela dam on Friday were retrieved, while one boy was rescued by divers, witnesses and officials said.

The four boys had gone to pump house of the dam to take a dip, but when they went into the deep water, three of them drowned, while one was rescued by the picnickers present there.

Witnesses said that the bodies of Ahmad Ali and Inayatur Rehman were fished out by local divers, while search for the third body was under way.

They said that Ahmad Ali, a resident of Kohat, had gone to the Tarbela Dam’s right bank colony to meet his friends. Later, they reached the pump house to take a dip and beat the scorching heat. During swimming, the four boys went into deep waters and were drowned.

Other picnickers on the spot raised alarm and rescued one boy, Attaullah.
