Forecast for rain


ISLAMABAD, Aug 12: The meteorological office on Saturday forecast rain and thunderstorm at scattered places in upper Punjab, upper NWFP, eastern Balochistan, Sindh and Kashmir during next 24 hours.

Weather may remain partly cloudy with chances of rain and thunderstorm in the federal capital and Northern Areas on Sunday.

Parts of the country received rains on Saturday. Chhor received 33mm rain; Sibbi, 20mm; Gilgit, 9mm; Nawabshah/ Khuzdar, 9mm; Hyderabad/ Chilas/Astore, 5mm; Barkhan, 6mm; and Malamjabba, 3mm.

The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 44 degrees Centigrade in Nokkundi.

Pollen count in Islamabad was 158 per cubic metre on Saturday.—APP
