KARACHI: Workshop owner killed, body found

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 12: A strangulated body of a 65-year-old man was recovered from his house in Mochko area, police said.

Police said that a labour councillor of the area informed the police on 15 about the body. The marks on his throat suggested that he had been hacked before being strangulated with a nylon rope.

In Sohrab Goth, a workshop owner was shot dead and his associate was injured while resisting a hold up.

Police said that salaries were being distributed at an electric generator repair workshop near 4-L bus terminus when four bandits on two motorcycles appeared and held the workers at gunpoint.

As Nadeem Aga, owner of the workshop, attempted to put up resistance, the bandits opened fire killing him at the spot and wounding his associate Ijaz.

The bandits escaped with the looted cash, police said.
