KARACHI: Hearing adjourned


KARACHI, Aug 10: A Division Bench of Sindh High Court on Thursday adjourned till Aug 19 hearing of a constitutional petition seeking investigation and legal action against police officials accused of firing on participants of a rally taken out by the Pakistan Fisher-folk Forum (PFF) here on June 19.

The Bench, hearing the petition filed by Kosar Sadiq, comprised Chief Justice, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed and Justice Zia Pervez.

Mohammad Ashraf Samoo, the advocate for the petitioner, submitted that seven participants of the PFF rally were injured when police opened fire.

He said the incident took place on June 19 while FIR was registered at Steel Town Police Station on July 3, on the orders of ADJ-II, Malir. However, no investigation had, so far, been conducted.—APP
