Elders threaten to return medals

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Aug 2: Elders of Tori and Bangash tribes of the Kurram Agency have threatened to return all medals and honours conferred on them by the government if the proposed Fata medical college is relocated from Parachinar.

According to a press release, the decision was taken at a meeting of tribal elders held in Parachinar on Wednesday.

The elders said that they would hold demonstrations if the Fata medical college was built in Peshawar.

A meeting of the all civil society organisations, the agency headquarters, also said that they would launch agitation if the governor did not announce the construction of the medical college in Parachinar during his scheduled visit on Thursday.
