In an interview to New Delhi based TV Channel, Mushahid said terrorism has no religion and know no boundaries. This is a grave universal threat and can only be countered collectively. He said whether it is in Mumbai or in Karachi both, Pakistan and India are victims of terrorism and they can curb the menace only if they join hands against the enemy of mankind. Referring to propaganda of the Indian media in the aftermath of Mumbai blasts, Senator Mushahid said hawkish elements must avoid this temptation to use the Mumbai terrorism for Pakistan bashing. He said without any evidence or proof, these hawkish elements in Indian establishment had already started to reverse some segments of the peace process by canceling the scheduled Foreign Secretaries talks and stopping Indian parliamentarians from attending the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Pakistan. He urged Indian establishment to avoid the traditional blame game and said there is no option other than dialogue and the continuation of the peace process between the two countries.
