KARACHI: Cleanliness drive in SITE continues


KARACHI, July 12: Around 10 trucks of silt and garbage were removed in Pak Colony using heavy machinery in UC-I of SITE Town on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Town Nazim Izharuddin Ahmed asked sanitary workers to lift garbage on all streets of town. He also appealed citizens to cooperate with the town management.

ORANGI: Orangi Town Nazim Abdul Haq reviewed the cleaning of storm-water drains.

He said cleaning of drains, especially, prior to expected monsoon rainfall was very important. He advised the concerned officials to get cooperation of local people living along these drains for elimination of encroachments from the surroundings of these drains.

MALIR: The Malir Town will plant 30,000 saplings of Cronocorpus and Legnum during its plantation campaign at a cost of Rs0.5 million.

At a meeting of UC nazims, Town Nazim Ansar Shaikh announced that during the drive, plantation would be carried out from Malir Halt Signal to Malir Bridge Central Island and from Model Colony Graveyard to Model More.-—APP/PPI
