KARACHI, July 7: Eight vessels carrying urea and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Ashraf Bay, Thor Energy, to unload and load general cargo, Johar, to offload crude oil and Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Advance, Y.M Energy, Satha Bhum and Emerald Sea departed, while Thor Energy, Ashraf Bay, Antonis, Corin Thaikos, Alycia, Nicolas S, Sinar Bontang, Johar, Chi Feng Kou and Oel Aishwaryra are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.116m tons comprising 14,551 tons of export cargo including 1,503 tons of rice and 0.102m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Kakazar, with crude oil, Bum Chin, with chemicals, Piemonte, to load naphtha, Hanjin Busan, Thor Captain, Kota Teraju, with containers, Tai Shan Hai and Jia Qiang, with 39,000 and 40,000 tons of urea.
