KARACHI: US delegation meets Rauf


KARACHI, June 20: A delegation of US Department of State, led by David Fields, along with US Consul-General Mary H. Witt, met the Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi at his office here on Tuesday.

On the occasion, the home minister briefed the delegation about overall law and order situation in Sindh and particularly the security arrangements for foreign nationals.

He said as a result of steps taken by the Sindh government for establishing an exemplary law and order situation, there has been an inflow of investors here from abroad and major world companies and investors are contacting the government for setting up their projects here.

He informed that hotels in Karachi are booked for months in advance and very soon this city will become most attractive city of world for investors.

He informed the delegation that the Sindh government had taken special measures for security of foreigners and their properties in Karachi and throughout Sindh.

The delegation expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Sindh government and appreciated the Home Minister's efforts.—APP
