PESHAWAR, June 12: US Ambassador in Pakistan Ryan C. Crocker called on NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Orakzai and discussed with him matters relating to development activities in Fata here on Monday.

He was accompanied by Peshawar-based US Consul Michael Spangler.

The governor told the delegation that an effective mechanism was in place to implement development projects and ensure proper utilisation of resources.

He said efforts would continue for capacity building of all line departments concerned to enable them to improve their working.

For this, he said, a Fata Development Authority was being set up to improve the implementation of schemes.
