By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, June 6: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) on Tuesday directed all societies and construction companies in its area to lay underground electricity cable network in their residential colonies and projects.

The decision to this effect was taken in the 50th Iesco Board of Directors meeting held at the company’s head office here on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by the board chairman, Tariq Sadiq.

Under the decision, it was made binding on all housing societies to ensure proper designing and installation of underground power supply system, similar to that in the federal capital.
