646,850 WLL subscribers, says PTA
ISLAMABAD, June 3: The number of Wireless Local Loop (WLL) subscribers in the country has reached 646,850 by March 2006 which was 175,943 in the first quarter of last year.
According to information provided by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) here on Saturday, the first quarter of current fiscal year witnessed 27 per cent growth in WLL subscribers with its density reaching 0.42 per cent in one year.
Currently, PTCL being the largest operator has share of 61 per cent in the WLL market.—APP
