KARACHI: Ibad seeks Jatoi's help


KARACHI, May 20: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has said that except for water and power, there is no crisis of any kind in the province.

He said power crisis has emerged due to water shortage and he had talked to federal minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi for increasing the KESC's power generation capacity to end electricity problem here.

He was talking to journalists after the certificate distribution ceremony for the participants of 81st Advance Course of Public Sector Management at NIPA here Saturday.

Liaquat Jatoi, the governor said, assured that KESC's power generation capacity would be increased.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the KESC City Coordination Committee, presided over by Director Customer Services Jamil Gul Shaikh, was held at KESC head office to review the progress of ongoing system improvement schemes undertaken to upgrade the city power supply system.

The meeting was informed that under the system improvement schemes four new 11kv underground feeders were energized.—PPI
