White cement production capacity expanded

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, May 4: The Maple Leaf Cement Company has invested Rs1.644 billion to expand its capacity to produce white cement from 100 tons to 600 tons per day.

The new modern, state-of-the-art production line is based on the latest European technology comprising efficient dry process using low-cost, environment-friendly petcoke as main fuel. The new plant has been completed in 27 months and is first of its kind in Pakistan.

It is equipped with environmental control equipment and an advanced control system based on Programmable Logic Control and the latest quality control systems including X-Ray Fluorescence Analyser. These measures, the announcement said, have further improved the quality of white cement produced by the manufacturer.
