Petrol pumps’ strike

KARACHI, March 27: As many as 11,000 petrol pumps across the country will observe a one-day token strike on March 29 to protest against the reduction in their commission margin by 20 per cent by the government.

Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association Chairman Abdul Sami Khan has advised the general public, ambulance and other essential service vehicles to fill up their fuel tanks by March 28 in order to avoid any untoward situation and difficulty, as there will be no sale of products on March 29, says a press release.

He said it was unfeasible to run the petrol pumps at very low commission.
