Cash awards for U-19 players

KARACHI, March 20: Sindh Sports Minister Qamar Mansoor has announced cash awards of Rs50,000 for each member and official of the Pakistan under-19 team which retained their Junior Cricket World Cup in Colombo (Sri Lanka) last month.

He made this announcement at a reception hosted in honour of Pakistan Under-19 team and other teams participating in One-day Gold League Cricket Championship, organised by Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) at National Stadium.

He lauded the achievements of the players for bringing honour and glory to the country and asked philanthropists to come forward and honour team in kind and cash.

Qamar later presented shields to managers, coaches and captains of Faisalabad, Sialkot, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Lahore and Rawalpindi, currently taking part in the One-day Gold league.—APP
