NAWABSHAH, March 20: A resident of Allah Ditto Bhutto village of the Doulatpur taluka, Mr Ghulam Mustafa Bhutto, has appealed to the prime minister, the Sindh chief minister and the provincial police officer to help him get justice because police were not lodging an FIR for his murdered daughter.
Talking to reporters on Sunday, he said that his seven-year-old daughter Mumtaza was sexually assaulted and brutally murdered by some unidentified people and the Doulatpur police were not registering the case.
He said that deceased went to her aunt’s house in the Mubarak Bhutto Village, two days before the murder from where she was missing and later police told him that they got information of her murder on phone and recovered the body near the Suno Bhutto village.
He said that his daughter was sexually assaulted and later her hand and neck were chopped with knife.
He said that police forcibly got him to write that he did not want to lodge FIR.
Doulatpur SHO Loung Shar when contacted said that police recovered the body from Lundki Shakh, Chak No. 12, near the Suno Bhutto village on March 14 after they received information on phone.
He said that the body was decomposed and he brought it to the rural health centre, Doulatpur, where the post-mortem was conducted.
He said that the doctor on duty said that body was 72 hours old and was damaged due to dog bites and water.
He said that police were ready to lodge the FIR but said that the father of the deceased said that he was a poor person who refused to lodge the FIR.
He said that the case was being politicized by some persons and police had done the job and would register the case whenever the complaint would come to them.

BODY FOUND: The body of a drug addict, whose name could not be ascertained, was found in the A-section police area on Monday.
The body was taken by Edhi volunteers and later buried at the Haji Naseer graveyard.
