Pakistani sailors well placed
KARACHI, Feb 16: Two Pakistani pairs competing in the World Enterprise sailing championship at Colombo are placed among top five at the end of six races on Thursday.
According to Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF), the pair of Lt Cdr Mamoon Sadiq - Abdul Hameed are placed overall second after accumulating 24 points while Lt Cdr Zahid Rauf – S. Lt Rana Waqas are at fifth position with 39 points.
Two more races are yet to be sailed and results of best seven would be counted.
Defending champion Richard Estough and his crew have so far maintained their top position with 16 points.
Results show that Mamoon – Hameed have clinched one first, two second, one third, one fifth and one 11th position.
Similarly, Zahid – Waqas also managed to snatch one first, one fourth, one seventh, one eighth, one ninth and one 10th position.
