European stocks
LONDON, Feb 8: European stock exchanges closed lower on Wednesday, with the London FTSE 100 index falling 0.38 per cent to 5,725.1 points. In Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.82 per cent to 4,895.08, while in Frankfurt the DAX ended the day down 0.11 per cent at 5,666.41 points.—AFP
