KARACHI: TI leader backs Musharraf

KARACHI, Feb 7: Tehrik-i-Istaqlal President Rehmat Khan Wardag has supported the policies pursued by President Musharraf, and stressed that for the implementation of the projects he has announced and to ensure continuity of his policies, it is imperative that the president remained in power till 2017.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr Wardag also supported the president’s water vision and the plan to construct five dams till 2016.

Supporting the construction of the Kalabagh Dam, Mr Wardag said that Sindh would get maximum benefit from it as through the dam, millions of acres of land would be brought under cultivation and industries would be provided cheapest electricity.—APP
