KARACHI: Examination schedule to remain unchanged

KARACHI, Jan 20: Examinations of the University of Karachi and Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, would be conducted as per schedule on Jan 23, which had been declared a local holiday by the city government.

The KU controller of examination, Anwar Zaidi, told Dawn that papers of BCom and other examinations of the varsity would be held as usual on Monday next and candidates should report for those positively.

He said that examinations of certain programmes scheduled to commence on Jan 23 would also be conducted as per the programme

In the meantime the BIE controller of examination, Prof Abdul Aziz, notified that the HSC supplementary exams 2005 would be conducted as per schedule on Jan 23 and there would be no change in the date and timings due to the holiday announced by the city government.

It was further said that the board would remain open for other official purposes on Jan 23.

When contacted, Ishaque Mamji, assistant controller of examination of the board, said different counters at the board would work as usual on Jan 23, which is also the last date for submission of forms for HSC (private) Commerce and Arts groups, without late fee.

HSC exam forms: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, on Friday released the schedule for submission of examination forms and fee for the HSC part-I and II annual exams 2006 of Humanities (regular) and Diploma in Physical Education groups.
