Lasbela chamber hails NFC award

KARACHI, Jan 20: President Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Dr Muhammad Aslam has said that the substantial monetary increase in NFC Award for Balochistan will boost the economic development of the province, thus raising the living standard of the people.

In a statement he welcomed the president’s announcement for raising the provinces’ share in the divisible pool by 2.6 per cent and raising the amount of subvention to the provinces from Rs7.8bn to Rs28 billion. Balochistan will get Rs9.16 billion against the existing Rs4.8 billion.

He assured full cooperation and assistance of the chamber to the Balochistan government in bringing a qualitative change in the province by creating trade, investment and employment opportunities.
