Rainfall continues

LAHORE, Jan 17: Several cities in Punjab, including Lahore, continued to receive light rain on Tuesday, causing a drop in the day’s maximum temperature. Lahore’s minimum temperature last night increased to 13 degrees Celsius because of a cloud cover. The maximum temperature was 17.2 degrees with 88 per cent humidity in the morning and 78 per cent in the afternoon.

The city received light rain in the morning and intermittent drizzle throughout the day. By 5pm, the local Met office had recorded 2mm of rain at the airport.

It said Jhelum received 28mm of rain, Mandi Bahauddin (18mm), Sialkot (5mm), and Dera Ghazi Khan, Shorkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Multan had traces of showers.

The Met office has forecast more rain in the plains of the province during the next 24 hours.
