KARACHI: Setting up of camps, stalls from 9th to 13th banned

KARACHI, Jan 5: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui has announced that there would be a complete ban on setting up relief camps and stalls of any kind from Monday (Jan 9) for five days throughout the province.

Presiding over a high-level meeting in his office on Thursday to review law and order during Eid days, the minister said that no institution would issue an advance receipt for collecting hides of sacrificial animals.

The meeting was attended by Home Secretary Brig (r) G. M. Mohtaram, CCPO Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Additional IG Special Branch Fayyaz Ali Khan, DIG Special Branch Wajid Ali Durrani and Acting DIG Traffic Khurram Gulzar.

The meeting reviewed a code of conduct for collecting hides and skins of sacrificial animals.

“The skins of sacrificial animals could be collected within the four walls and the concerned TPO and SHO would have to be informed of the spot in advance,” the minister said.

He said there would be a restriction on collecting skins through vehicles. —APP
