PPP vows to fight against mly rule

ISLAMABAD, Jan 4: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday pledged to get rid of military rule and restore the Constitution in its original form and declared 2006 as the year of general elections. Speaking at the 78th birthday ceremony of the PPP’s founder and former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the party’s Central Secretary Finance Dr Babar Awan said PPP would continue its struggle for the restoration of the Constitution of the 1973 in its original from.

Other PPP leaders Senator Farhatullah Babar, MPA Farzana Raja, Nargis Faiz Malik, Nazir Dhoki, and Captain (Rtd) Wasif, were also present on the occasion.
