Training on psycho therapy begins

PESHAWAR, Jan 4: The Human Resource Development Network on Wednesday launched a series of training workshops on socio-psycho therapy for the field staff and volunteers of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) in Mansehra.

The first workshop was attended by dozens of volunteers and field staff of the NCHD, field staff of some civil society organizations and teachers.

Psychologist Dr Zahir Jamil conducted the training and highlighted different aspects of psychological and social disorders resulting from disasters like earthquake and described the treatment measures and techniques.

The field staff and volunteers of the NCHD will visit affected families in tent villages in the earthquake-affected districts of the NWFP and act as counsellors.

They will listen to the problems of the affected people and facilitate them in easing their mental and psychological disorders.
