Musharraf plans public meetings in Sindh

ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has decided to visit Sindh to campaign for the Kalabagh dam and other reservoirs to the people of the province. A minister told Dawn that President Musharraf would be in Sindh from Wednesday. He, however, said the schedule could not be disclosed for security reasons. The president will also visit the NWFP.

Sources said arrangements were under way to hold a public meeting on Thursday in Matiari, to be followed by rallies in Tando Allahyar and in other cities of Sindh. The president had assured parliamentarians from Sindh on Monday that he would talk to the public at large, listen to all viewpoints and respond to different question to address people’s reservations.
