PSB meeting

ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: A meeting of secretaries representing seven national federations is to be held at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) offices on Wednesday to decide on a new training schedule for the South Asian Games.

Azam Dar, a spokesman for the PSB said that following the rescheduling of the Games from April to August 2006, it had become necessary to chalk out a new training plan.

The officials of kabaddi, rowing, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting and wushu federations will attend the meeting, which will also modify the yearly calendar of activities of these bodies.

Brig Arif Mahmud Siddiqui, the head of PSB is to chair the meeting which is to be followed by a similar meeting on Thursday with secretaries of athletics, badminton, cycling, football, judo, karate and wrestling federations.
